What Is Re-Roofing?
Re-roofing is the process of restoring your roof either by updating or fully replacing the current roof. There are two different types of re-roofing processes that can be carried out which are tear off or roof overlay. As the name suggests, the roof tear off method involves the entire roof being ‘torn off’ to replace with a new one. This is generally recommended when the roof is so badly damaged that even the structural layer is deemed unsalvageable.
The roof overlay method involves either adding new tiles to fix the broken ones or replacing damaged Colorbond. This can be a less expensive process than replacing the whole roof, | however, there are some specifcations which will need to be met priorto being able toadd an overlay which s something that will need to be assessed at an on-site visit
